Paintings
Painting is very close to what happens, to the permanent flow of things. Painting is a way of experimenting and doing continuously that helps us get to know ourselves.
Painting is the process
This series of works are inspired by a concept that I admire, "the unique brushstroke". Influenced by Buddhist philosophy, trips to Asia and the metaphorical association of the wind with spiritual freedom, the paintings become more synthetic.
Like the wind
The canvases are inspired by an idea: create a metaphorical paint barricade in front of all the toxic information that comes to us every day from a cruel world. The news conspires to distance us from an emotional experience.
Barricades
I have just woken up and the sun is slipping over the horizon. I return to my notes. From here, up on high, I can see more clearly what Leonard Cohen meant when he said something like “draw the muscles of the clouds.”
Muscles of the Clouds
When I have an emotion, I think maybe there is a painting there. I must go to that place to discover it, …go further. Painting is a process of continuous investigation, a place of revelations and self-knowledge.
